A hard-nosed defenseman, former NHL hockey player Todd Simpson always had his head in the game and made his team his priority. Hailing from North Vancouver, British Columbia and then Edmonton and Lethbridge, Alberta, Todd began his NHL career with the Calgary Flames in 1994.
He played with the Flames for four years and was named team captain in 1997. Todd went on to play with the Florida Panthers (1999-2001), the Phoenix Coyotes (2000-2003), the Anaheim Mighty Ducks (2003-2004), the Ottawa Senators (2003-2004), the Chicago Blackhawks (2005-2006) and the Montreal Canadiens (2005-2006). He retired in 2007 and became a real estate agent in Kelowna where he currently resides with his family.
Todd loves the thrill of a new challenge and he was encouraged by friends and family to compete on the third season of Battle of the Blades.
Fans can expect to see Todd tune into his sensitive side as he plans on throwing everything's he got into delivering passionate, emotional performances.
