One of the most decorated U.S. ice dancers in history, Tanith Belbin with her partner Ben Agosto won the 2006 Olympic Silver Medal, the highest result of any American dance team and the first U.S. Ice Dance medal in 30 years. Tanith, a five-time U.S. Ice Dance Champion and four-time World Ice Dance Medallist, is a statuesque presence on the ice.

Born in Kingston, Ontario and raised in Kirkland, Quebec, Tanith moved to the United States in 1998 to find a dance partner. She and Ben Agosto became a team and success soon followed as they won the Bronze medal at the 2000 World Junior Championships in their first competitive season. They qualified for the 2002 Olympics but were unable to compete as Tanith was not an American citizen. She became a naturalized U.S. citizen just in time to compete in the 2006 Torino Winter Olympics where she and Ben won the Silver Medal. They represented the U.S. at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver placing fourth. Now retired from competition, Tanith and Ben continue to perform and choreograph.

A breath-taking iconic beauty, Tanith's trend-setting popularity reaches far beyond the ice rink. In 2006, Tanith was named "Hottest Female Athlete" by ESPN.com and named "Detroit's Hottest Couple" (with Ben) by Hour Detroit Magazine. She has been featured on the pages of various magazines from Vogue to Sports Illustrated as well as the cover of Men's Health where she was named "America's Hottest Olympic Athlete." She has also been a celebrity spokesperson for De Beers, Ralph Lauren, Sega and Proctor & Gamble. She enjoys a TV career as a commentator for Universal Sports, a TV reporter for local and national news and as co-host of ABC's Skating with the Stars. Tanith was a correspondent for Good Morning America in 2006 and a red carpet correspondent for the ESPY Awards.

Known as a fierce competitor, she hopes to show her lighter side and versatility this season on Battle of the Blades and is excited that her family in Canada will be able to watch and support her.
