January 2012 Archives

Bye-bye, Baby, Bye-bye!

As of the week of January 23rd I am off for a year on maternity leave. For those of you that feel I just got back from one and am leaving again...I feel your pain! My son Elliott will be only 17 months older than his "brister." (We don't know if it's a bro or a sis.) Either way, when I am back on the airwaves I plan on sticking around for the next 30 years.

So, your next four episodes of Bandwidth are what we euphemistically call "encore presentations" or "greatest hits." There are a few changes, but more or less you can rely on these blog links to enlighten you as to what was or will be on each show. Have a great 2012 and I'll see you next year, on the radio!

Chase away the winter Blues with music!

The Maple Blues Awards are happening Monday, January 16th so let's bring on the winter Blues! I'll have a conversation with Treasa Levasseur, co-host of the gala, and a concert featuring her, Suzie Vinnick, Ada Lee, Emma-Lee, and Shakura S'aida at Massey Hall. Women's Blues Revue full concert on Concerts on Demand.

Plus, a sneak peak at a couple of non-blues albums I'm looking especially forward to in 2012: The Wooden Sky and The Early Winters.

Win a Treasa Levasseur Broad CD! Just email me with Treasa in the subject line and tell me what chases the blues away for you? You can also call 613.288.6536
