In the 1980's hundreds of Buddhists moved to Nova Scotia. They followed Trungpa Rinpoche, the founder of Shambhala and a pioneer in bringing the Buddhist teachings of Tibet to the West. Wendy Friedman was one of those to embrace Shambhala and NS and helped changed the personality of the city.
