Geordie Haley Quartet on Atlantic Airwaves

geordiehaley.jpgGeordie Haley takes centre stage on Atlantic Airwaves this weekend. This is a concert recorded this summer at the Atlantic Jazz Fest in Halifax. Geordie has a terrific band with him including Tom Roach, drums, Willem Paynter, bass and Martin Davidson, sax. The entire show is dedicated to the music of jazz legend Thelonious Monk. We'll hear classic Monk tunes - a great way to spend some time on a Saturday. Atlantic Airwaves at 10 in the morning on CBC Radio 2 and at 5 past 5 on CBC Radio 1.
