Pascal Lejeune and David Myles in concert

David Myles and Pascal Lejeune join forces on stage performing their own songs, speaking in both languages and even performing a song written by the other. The chemistry is electric and the music is incredible. Tune in Saturday at 10 a.m. on CBC Radio 2 and 5 past 5 in the afternoon on CBC Radio 1.

There was tons of activity in Halifax including concerts, showcases and lots of celebrating throughout the 5 days of incredible music from this region. Along with winning 3 East Coast Music Awards, Rose Cousins also co-hosted the Gala. This week on the show we have a concert given by Rose in Calgary last spring. It includes her award winning song 'Go First'. Top10pic2.jpg Musicians and our CBC crew backstage at the Spatz Theatre in Halifax after 'CBC's Top 10 East Coast Songs' concert/broadcast. Kim Stockwood, Jimmy Rankin, Maureen Ennis, Jenn Grant and Ben Caplan performed to a packed house the Top 10 songs selected by a public nomination and vote. The songs in countdown order:

Top 10 East Coast Songs on Atlantic Airwaves

top 10 jpeg.JPGThis week the Top 10 East Coast Songs will be performed at the Spatz Theatre in Halifax and broadcast live on Atlantic Airwaves. It's all part of the ECMA's 25th anniversary celebrations. The songs will be sung by Jimmy Rankin, Ben Caplan, Kim Stockwood, Jenn Grant and Maureen Ennis in a countdown starting with # 10 and ending with #1. The order will be revealed during the show.

The ten songs are (in alphabetical order):
