Divers have close call with feeding whales

Shawn Stamback and three friends came within metres of ending up as lunch for feeding whales off the coast of California last weekend.

The four divers were snorkeling and between dives when a school of fish began frantically leaping out of the water, pursued by a pair of Humpback whales that came very close to the snorkelers. They were worried, in fact, that they might be swallowed by the whales.
