has earned a spot on the The Griffin Poetry Prize 2013
International and Canadian shortlist for his his poetry collection, Sailing to Babylon
. Founded in 2000, The Griffin recognizes excellence in English language poetry.
There are seven finalists, including three Canadians. They will read from their work this Wednesday at Koerner Hall in Toronto, and will each be awarded 10,000 dollars.
The following day, two winners -- one international and one Canadian -- will take home an additional 65,000 dollars.
