The True Nature of the Organist

A study commissioned by Christian Research in the UK has unearthed new evidence about the true nature of organists: talented, yes, but also opinionated, resolute and mischievous.

The study reports that organists have been know to play everything from ABBA's 'Money, Money, Money' during collection, to disguised versions of 'Smoke Gets In Your Eyes' as frankincense is spread.

This may come as a bit of a shock to churchgoers, many of whom appreciate the great sound of the organ that stirs feelings of reverence and grandeur.

Stephen Goddard is the author of that study. We reached him in St. Helen's, England.
