When Liberian journalist Mae Azango went to the bush to report what was happening to girls, she knew she would make enemies.
Last night, for her determined reporting on ritual female genital mutilation, child rape and teenage pregnancy, Ms. Azango received the International Press Freedom Award, awarded by the
Canadian Journalists for Free Expression to courageous journalists from around the world whose perseverance has effected real change. Carol is the chair of the CJFE Gala Steering committee.
Carol spoke with Mae Azango in the AIH studio.
