Thirteen U.S. speedskaters have filed documents to have their national coach, Jae Su Chun, fired. They accuse him of physical and verbal abuse.
But, the scandal reaches beyond US Speedskating. They also accuse their coach of forcing American short-track skater Simon Cho to sabotage Canadian Olivier Jean's skates at the 2011 World Championships in Warsaw.
Philip Hersh is an Olympic sports writer with the Chicago Tribune. He was the first to bring the allegations to light. We reached Mr. Hersh in Evanston, Illinois.
