Tar Ball Reminders

An ugly reminder of Deepwater Horizon disaster.
Tests run by Louisiana State University reveal that tar balls, washed up on the shores of the state in the wake of Isaac, are from the BP oil spill. Similar balls have washed up in Alabama.
For Dean Blanchard, they're a reminder of the loss of a culture and way of life that he says is the direct result of the BP Deepwater Horizon disaster, and the subsequent oil spill two years ago.
Mr. Blanchard is a shrimp processor in Grand Isle, Louisiana, where the reports of tar balls have been coming from. That's where we reached him.
