The Toney family is suing the RCMP and Alberta Fish and Wildlife for what the family alleges was a failure to train staff for emergency situations. The Toney family says that lack of training resulted in the death of five-year-old Janessa Toney in 2008.
In launching their suit, the family must relive the day she died.
We spoke with Al Toney, Janessa's father, about why he feels it's worth it.
