Chris Hedges on the National Defense Authorization Act

The law has, purportedly, been introduced to protect Americans from terror. But some Americans find the law itself terrifying.

The so-called, National Defense Authorization Act gives the military unprecedented powers to arrest and detain citizens in the ongoing war on terror.

Pulitzer Prize winning author and journalist Chris Hedges has announced he's fighting the law by suing President Barack Obama and US Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta.
