As we signed off last night, Carol and I commented that, sadly, there would be no pipes.

 

This morning we received an email from Ward MacDonald, a piper from the Magic Isle - PEI. He sent us a couple tracks of Cape Breton piping.

Here's one of them. This is from a recording released last year by brothers Kenneth and Angus MacKenzie, from Mabou, Cape Breton. The recording is called "Pìob is Fidheall" which is Gaelic for "Pipes and Fiddle." They are accompanied by Mac Morin on piano (regular accompanist for Natalie MacMaster) and Patrick Gillis on guitar. It will play on Quicktime.
