Canada has no National Bird. But James Cowan, the Director of the Canadian Raptor Conservancy, is working on it.
He's polling Canadians and collecting signatures and if you suspect that Mr. Cowan may be biased in favour of a raptor - specifically the red-tailed hawk - never fear! We also hear from Kathy Jones, Volunteer Co-Ordinator for the Canadian Lakes Loon Survey.
Most importantly, though, we'd like to hear from you. Which birdie gets your nod to represent Canada to the world?
