| They ushered in the winds of change -- and now they've had the wind knocked out of them a bit. Yesterday, Tunisians went to the polls in the country's first democratic election. It's also the first election to take place in any of the countries that are part of the Arab Spring Movement. Today the votes are being counted and, so far, it seems that the conservative party, Ennahda, is in the lead. It's a bittersweet victory for many of Tunisia's young revolutionaries -- many of them ran as independents, hoping to keep power in the hands of the young. Yassine Ayari was an active member of the Tunisian revolution. He ran as an independent candidate in the election. We reached Mr. Ayari in the town of Zaghouan.

| The front page of Friday's British Tabloid The Sun showed a picture of a bloodied Moammar Gadhafi with the headline: "That's for Lockerbie". In 1988, two-hundred-and-fifty-nine passengers aboard Pan-Am Flight 103 were killed when a bomb brought down the plane over Lockerbie, Scotland. Eleven people on the ground were also killed. Abdel Baset al Megrahi is the only person ever convicted of the bombing. In 2009, the Scottish government made the controversial decision to release Mr. Megrahi on compassionate grounds, allowing him to return to his home in Libya. Mr. Megrahi is suffering from prostate cancer, and was thought to only have three months to live. That was two years ago. Jim Swire's daughter Flora was killed in the bombing. He believes Abdel Baset al Megrahi is innocent, and fears the truth about the bombing will be lost amid the chaos and leadership change in Libya. We reached Dr. Swire in Stranraer [stran-RAH], Scotland.

| Roger Larre's son, Kyle, is gone. But part of him lives on, inside the chest of another man. And, recently, Mr. Larre got to meet that man. Kyle Larre was twenty-five in August when he died in a car accident, not far from the family farm in St. Walburg, Saskatchewan. His parents donated his organs. In the weeks that followed, they decided to track down the person who got Kyle's heart. The recipient is Len Mackie. He's fifty-seven and he's had four heart attacks. The two families got together two weeks ago at the Mackie home in Winnipeg. Here is Roger Larre describing meeting Mr. Mackie to CBC Regina's Sheila Coles, for the record.

| They were once so close that the European press referred to them as "Merkozy". But now, it seems that the relationship between German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Nicolas Sarkozy is no longer quite as cozy. This weekend, the two leaders were divided on just how Europe should deal with the Eurozone debt crisis. Dermot Hodson is a senior lecturer in political economy at Birkbeck College in London, England. And that is where we reached him.

| NEW ORLEANS FILMMAKER TUOCT. 24/11 PRONOUNCER: Paul Gailiunas = Paul gay-LOO-niss JD:Four years after his life was changed forever, Canadian doctor Paul Gailiunas returned to New Orleans. He was there to present the film that his late wife, Helen Hill, started years ago. Mr. Gailiunas took up her work and completed the film after she was murdered in 2007, in a wave of violence that was sweeping post-Katrina New Orleans. The film, "The Florestine Collection," was showing at the New Orleans Film Festival. It paints a picture of New Orleans through the story of a local dressmaker. The murder of Helen Hill, meanwhile, remains unsolved. Mr. Gailunas now practices medicine in Pasadena, California. We reached him there on his cell phone.

| And now, Quote/Unquote.He screwed his courage to the sticking place. And then -- predictably enough -- he got stuck there. Last week, a truck driver was set to make a delivery in the small British town of Bruton. But evidently he didn't really know his way around Bruton, because he relied heavily on his GPS -- and followed its directions without question. Even when it directed him down a relatively narrow alley. Once in the alley, he had a choice: trust his eyes, which told him the alley got narrower and narrower as it went, or trust the GPS, and assume the narrowing was an optical illusion. He did the latter. And as a result, he spent most of the next twenty-four hours in the cab of a thoroughly stuck truck. Eventually, a rescue crew arrived to tow the vehicle -- damaging the buildings it had been stuck between. And during those long hours stuck in Bruton, the truck driver -- who has since been suspended -- endured the taunting of the locals. As pub owner Mike Clifford said, quote: "When he asked where the toilets were, a lot of people started giving him directions, and telling him to shout if he got stuck in there." Unquote.

| Today was scheduled as a P-A day at Grande Prairie Composite High School in Alberta. But many of the students were at the school anyway. Not to attend classes, but to find comfort in each other's company. Early Sunday morning, four members of the high school football team were killed in a car accident. A fifth player is in critical but stable condition in an Edmonton hospital. The car the boys were riding in was allegedly hit by a drunk driver who's now been charged in their deaths. Rick Gilson is the principal at the high school. He's also the boys' football coach. This morning, Mr. Gilson spoke with host Mark Harvey on CBC Radio's "Edmonton A-M". For the record, here he is, speaking about the impact the accident has had on the people of Grande Prairie.

| Around the world, the Occupy protests have attracted mavericks and activists from all walks of life. So it's really no surprise that they attracted a man who is country music's patron saint of mavericks and activists: Willie Nelson. It's also no surprise that Mr. Nelson's a fan. And that he's put his concerns over money and inequality where his mouth is. He and his wife Annie have released a video in which they recite a poem they've written to show their solidarity with the protesters. It's called "We're the Ones With the Ninety-Nine" -- and it's our sound of the day.

| It's not easy chasing your dreams. And for Dewey Bozella, it was harder than most. For years, he wanted to be a professional boxer. The only problem was Mr. Bozella was in prison, serving time for a crime he did not commit. But in 2009, after serving twenty-six years in prison wrongfully convicted of murder, Dewey Bozella was exonerated of any wrongdoing and released. And earlier this month, at the age of fifty-two, he fulfilled his boxing dream: he had his first fight as a professional boxer. And what's more, he won. We reached Dewey Bozella in New York.

| It wasn't supposed to be a hit song. But it was -- and continues to be heard in sports stadiums around the world to this day. The song I'm talking about is "Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye." And it was co-written in 1969 by a songwriter and music producer named Paul Leka , in the hopes that it not be played on the radio. Mr. Leka died earlier this month of lung cancer. He was sixty-eight. Here's how "Kiss Him Goodbye" came to be a Number One hit. Mr. Leka's friend, Gary DeCarlo, had a deal with Mercury Records to record several singles. The company wanted them all as A-sides. So Mr. DeCarlo needed some B-sides. As his producer, Mr. Leka decided to dust off an old song the pair had played when they were in a band together. But, because they wanted the other side of the disc played, they decided to pad out the tune with some "na nas" and "hey heys." Enough "nas" and "heys" to make it a four-minute track -- longer than most radio stations liked. And, they figured, enough to also make it kind of boring. But someone at the record label took to the song and released it as an A-side. It was the one and only hit by Steam, a fictitious band that was really just Mr. Leka, Mr. De Carlo and another old bandmate. Mr. Leka went on to write and produce for The Lemon Pipers, REO Speedwagon and Harry Chapin. But, great as those acts were, it was "Kiss Him Goodbye" that had staying power. That's because of Nancy Faust. Back in 1977, Ms. Faust was the organist for the Chicago White Sox. And she started playing the song as a taunt to the opposing side. Well, it began in Chicago, but it didn't stay in Chicago. Now you can even hear it almost anywhere there are two teams playing a sport and more than one person watching. And you can hear it now. Yes, it's really a song about a guy trying to get a girl. But feel free to jeer at whoever else is nearby, if you like.
