nations go, North Korea isn't exactly a social butterfly. But the
famously reclusive country has just shown up at the global cyberparty --
albeit, less surprisingly, acting kind of erratically. And boasting
it's looking for a fight.
official government website Uriminzokkiri -- meaning "our people" --
announced last week that it has registered a Twitter account and a
mean a whole lot to most North Koreans, given that all but a few are
banned from viewing the popular social network sites.

borders with its tweets and YouTube clips, like the one you just heard.
Set to ominous singing by the North Korean army choir, it consists of a
montage of military-themed shots, of armaments being mobilized, and
soldiers engaged in battle.

as warmongers for accusing North Korea of sinking a South Korean warship
back in March. One such clip entitled "Who will win if North Korea and
the U.S. fight?" asserts that the North has developed nuclear fusion
technology. Another calls the South Korean foreign minister "a
pro-American flunky" who should make a career of mopping the Pentagon's

official state-run website -- which threaten "merciless retaliation"
