North by Northwest
CBC Radio One 690 AMCBC Radio's North by Northwest is pleased to partner with Barbara-Jo's Books to Cooks for this special Studio One Book Club featuring Taras Grescoe and his new book Bottomfeeder: How to Eat Ethically in a World of Vanishing Seafood. Like his international best-seller The Devil's Picnic, this new book promises to entertain, enlighten, and stun you, as Taras reveals how out-of-control pollution, unregulated fishing practices and global warming affect the fish on our plates. As he tours the world looking for delicious and healthy seafood, he introduces the reader to the world's finest cuisines and most importantly reveals what every lover of great food needs to know to be a well-informed consumer of seafood. Hosted by Sheryl MacKay with special guest co-host, Quang Dang, Chef de Cuisine of C Restaurant.
Come join us for a delicious and enlightening conversation on Sunday May 18, from 12 noon to 1:30 pm at the CBC Broadcast Centre. To enter to win tickets, go to Studio One Book Club.

Asian Heritage Month
The month of May is Asian Heritage Month. This month is an opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the rich history of Asian Canadians and their contributions to our country. Since its inception in Toronto in 1993, cities across Canada including Montreal, Ottawa and Vancouver have been holding annual festivities to recognize Asian Heritage Month.
CBC invites you to take part in events that commemorate Asian Canadian history and to reflect on the vital social, cultural, economic and political legacies of communities that continue to shape Canada.
