Don Cherry has signed on to watch hockey tough guys flaunt their ice-dancing skills in CBC's Battle of the Blades.
Cherry has agreed to be a celebrity judge on the reality TV series that pairs former NHL players with female figure skaters.
Program host Ron MacLean says his Hockey Night in Canada co-host is a big fan of figure skating and should have "an eye for good dance and good choreography."
"I think Don's really pumped about the fact we're coming back to the Gardens," MacLean added.
The eight competing teams will demonstrate their abilities at Maple Leaf Gardens, which was mothballed after Toronto's 1998-1999 hockey season.
The show, which begins Sunday, runs for seven weeks, with the winning pair earning $100,000 for their favourite charity.
