Michael Buble, Nettwerk founder among B.C. Hall of Fame inductees

Last Updated: Wednesday, March 11, 2009 | 9:52 AM ET

Crooner Michael Buble headlines a cast of entertainers about to be inducted into the B.C. Entertainment Hall of Fame for 2009.

Buble is among 10 people whose names will be embedded in the sidewalk along Granville Street's Entertainment Row in Vancouver on April 19.

The entertainment hall honours British Columbians who have made an outstanding contribution to the entertainment industry locally, in Canada and abroad.

Terry McBride, founder and chief executive officer of Nettwerk Music Group, the label that represents Sarah McLachlan and the Barenaked Ladies, will also have his plaque embedded near Vancouver's Orpheum Theatre.

Fanny Kiefer, who was the first woman in Vancouver to have her own radio talk show and currently hosts television program Studio 4, will be among those honoured next month.

Longtime radio personality Bill Reiter, who's voiced more than 4,500 radio spots and 300 television commercials, has also been tabbed for induction.

He'll be joined by fellow radio personality Jurgen Gothe, as well as television and film mainstays Nicholas Campbell and Gabrielle Rose.

Dance pioneer Max Wyman, theatre luminary Wendy Gorling and music critic Tom Harrison round out the list of inductees.
