Graffiti participant Brian, a.k.a. Double, takes a break to inspect his work, while spray-painting a Bluetooth earpiece. Double and the rest of his graffiti crew crafted a mural onstage so audience members could witness the creative process first-hand. Typically, graffiti artists have to express their art under the cover of night. At the turn of the millennium, Toronto police launched a severe anti-graffiti campaign, one still felt by the absence of interesting street art except in select, approved areas of the city.
