Feist, Malajube added to Olympic music lineup

(Jeff McIntosh/Canadian Press) \Canadian indie singer Feist, Newfoundland's Hey Rosetta! and Montreal's Malajube are among the music acts announced Wednesday for the Vancouver 2010 Cultural Olympiad.
They are among the last group of musical acts announced for the 2010 festival, which kicks off Jan. 22, 2010 in Metro Vancouver and British Columbia's Sea to Sky corridor.
Other performers announced:
- City and Colour, fronted by singer-songwriter Dallas Green of Alexisonfire.
- Rural Alberta Advantage, a Toronto indie pop trio.
- Scratch video DJ Mike Relm and the British duo Addictive TV.
- Hard Rubber Orchestra, a 14-piece Vancouver ensemble.
- DJ Kid Koala.
- Montreal electro-funk act Chromeo.
Among the acts previously announced are Stars, the Hilario Duran Latin Jazz Band performing with saxophonist Jane Bunnett, pianist Phil Dwyer, Somali Canadian rapper K'Naan and sub-Saharan musicians Tinariwen.
Steve Earle pays tribute to songwriter Townes Van Zandt in a show to be opened by Canadian alt-pop singer Joel Plaskett.
Hal Willner has scheduled the Neil Young Project, which lines up Broken Social Scene, Joan as Policewoman, Ron Sexsmith, and Iron and Wine to play songs from Young's massive catalogue of work.
Olympic organizers have scheduled more than 130 theatre, dance and performing arts events during the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
