Barbra Streisand was No. 2 on the list with $60 million in earnings and Canadian diva Céline Dion placed third with $45 million.
The Forbes ranking was based on estimates of concert ticket sales, merchandise revenue, album sales and earnings from ancillary products such as clothing, perfumes and endorsements.
Dion, 39, earned most of her money from her successful A New Day engagement in Las Vegas, but she also continued to have success with album sales, outstripping many younger artists.
Streisand, 65, had a successful tour, with tickets selling for $300 a piece.
Some other cash queens and their earnings:
- Shakira, $38 million US.
- Beyoncé, $27 million US.
- Gwen Stefani, $26 million US.
- Christina Aguilera, $20 million US.
- Faith Hill, $19 million US.
- Dixie Chicks, $18 million US.
Britney Spears hit the list at No. 14, earning $8 million US from old song royalties and sales of her perfume, Curious. Her new album Blackout was released after the period covered by the list.
