Trailer Park Boys: The Movie, the feature film based on the popular Canadian TV series set in a Nova Scotia trailer park, finally has a U.S. distributor.
The film, directed by Mike Clattenburg, opened in October 2006 in Canada and had its U.S. premiere at the South by Southwest film festival last March.

Now distributor Screen Media plans to give it a limited release in the U.S. beginning Jan. 25, according to Variety.
It will go into wider release on Feb. 1.
Screen Media is a small distribution company that primarily promotes movies to TV, cable and new media networks worldwide, but plans to distribute a small slate of eight films to cinemas this year.
"We don't do 2,000-screen releases, so we've been looking for films that have a possibility of breaking out by opening them in a few theatres around the country," Screen Media president Robert Baruc told Variety.
"I think this has the best chance of breaking out of any of the films we'll be releasing this year."
The Genie-nominated film follows the progress of John Paul Tremblay as Julian, Robb Wells as Ricky and Mike Smith as Bubbles in a hare-brained scheme to steal a cache of untraceable coins.
The TV series is a pop culture phenomenon in Canada, but is not currently airing in the U.S. The series briefly ran on BBC America.
