Filipino-Canadian dance troupe Hataw are relatively new on the scene, but it hasn't stopped them from making a splash. The troupe formed in 2014, but as founder and artistic director Jodinand Aguillon and co-founder Crista Aguinaldo explain, they've gone from strength to strength, appearing at festivals such as Kultura, a Filipino arts festival in Toronto, playing to large crowds, and even appearing in viral music videos like this one by electronic music group DATU. (Full disclosure: Exhibitionists' own senior producer Romeo Candido is a member of DATU.)

After racking up more than 70,000 views on Facebook for the music video, Hataw are working on a demo reel of their own. Watch the segment at the top of the page to learn how Aguillon and Aguinaldo's shared history in dance led to the group's formation, and how the group's membership stretches across the country.

Watch Exhibitionists on Sundays at 4:30 p.m./5 p.m. NT on CBC-TV.
