Remembering Ross River elder Arthur John

ross-river-yukon-elder-arthur-john-senior.jpgThe Yukon is a little poorer today. 103 year old elder Arthur John died yesterday in Ross River. John was active in mineral exploration for much of his life. He was also a strong practitioner of Kaska culture. He and his wife, Alice, were recognized last year for having been married 80 years.

Brian Ladue knew Arthur John growing up. The chief of the Ross River Dena Council spoke with the CBC's Leonard Linklater about what John meant to the community.
