How Much Did The Trial Cost?

It's been more than 5 years now since Gordie Seybold was murdered in his Ibex Valley home near Whitehorse. It was late March of 2008, when firefighters found Seybolds charred body in the ashes of his log cabin. It took police investigators another year and half to arrest his killers.

It was just last week that the trial wrapped up with a 1st degree murder conviction for Norman Larue. He joins girlfriend Christina Asp in prison, both serving "life sentences" for the killing.

Costs are still being tallied, but justice officials concede, the investigation, and subsequent trials for the two were the most expensive in Yukon history.
