Taking The Sparks Out Of The LNG Debate.

There's a lot of concern about Liquified Natural Gas or LNG, especially after the big train derailment in Quebec this weekend. So a lot of people, almost 60, showed up last night for a public meeting hosted by the Yukon Energy Corporation. They want to switch their aging backup generators over to natural gas generators.

The plus: cheaper, more environmentally friendly and reliable. If you talk to the energy corporation there's really no downside, except perhaps the initial cost of switching over.

CBC reporter Leonard Linklater spoke with consultant David Glessner, who was brought in by the energy corporation to talk about the benefits...

He began by asking Glessner why natural gas is so popular with utilities...
