Potvin Inquiry Ends With Recommendations...

The jury in the inquest looking into the death of RCMP Constable Michael Potvin has made 10 recommendations.  They're mostly aimed at improving RCMP safety practices including calls for random spot checks at detachments to make sure new safety measures are being followed.

Constable Potvin's father Mark Potvin represented the family at the inquest.  Through Coroner Karen Ruddy, he asked the jury to consider that the shortcomings of members of the RCMP played a big part in his son's death.
