WMHA on Body Checking...Should There Be A Ban?..

The Canadian Paediatric Society is calling for a ban on bodychecking until hockey players are in the bantam league. Players in that league are typically between 13 and 14 of age.

In the Yukon, the Whitehorse Minor Hockey Association is already complying with most of the recommendations.

Carl Burgess is President of the Whitehorse Minor Hockey and Shelley Gellatly is a sports therapist working with the association.
