City Firefighters Have New Deal

Whitehorse firefighters have a new contract with the city ... finally.

They've been working without one since 2009, and previously worked under a contract imposed by an arbitrator.

Firefighters say they want the same kind of pay their counterparts in the south are earning.

Barry Blisner is the president of the International Firefighters Federation local 2217.

Here is his reaction to a new deal that provides an 18 percent pay raise for his members...
