Effects of Climate Change on Glaciers Feeding the Yukon River..

A scientific team is looking into the effects of climate change on the glaciers that feed the headwaters of the Yukon River.

The Northern Climate Exchange at Yukon College is co-ordinating the project. Jeffrey Kavanaugh is an Associate Professor in the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Alberta and was in the Northern BC earlier this month doing field work for the project in the Fantail River basin.

Courting Chinese Business Interests..

Yukon Premier Darrell Pasloski is back from a 10-day trip to China.

He and seven other premiers went to Asia to "strenghthen ties" with business and government leaders and "promote trade and investment."
