CanNor's Financial Mismanagement
Late last week we heard about a highly critical internal audit of the Canadian Northern Economic Development Agency or CanNor.
The Harper government created this federal agency two years ago as a pillar of its northern strategy. CanNor's annual budget is about 75 million dollars across the three territories.
But an audit done last spring concludes that CanNor has violated almost every rule of financial management. Brigitte Bureau is the investigative reporter with Radio Canada who broke the story.
