According to the 2011 World Alzheimer's Report, early diagnosis is a key factor when it comes to fighting the disease. And yet even in high income countries like Canada, a mere 20-50% of dementia cases are diagnosed in routine care.
Dr. David Price is head of Family Medicine at McMaster University and he says this is cause for concern... Especially because the number of seniors in Canada is expected to reach 10 million in the next 25 years.
