Ready to Relay
They came from across the north and from around the world... all to run 110 miles from Skagway to Whitehorse. Competitors in this year's Klondike International Road Relay say this year's conditions couldn't have been better.
We caught up with some of them at the finish line in Rotary Peace Park.
Whitehorse team, Scarecrow, took 1st place with a time of 11:44.15 (one runner had to do two legs). Other Yukon notables: team Chocolate Claim Walkers who were 1st in the Walkers category. And 1st in the Corporate category was "The CS More Than Paper Shufflers." The "Golden Horn Gazelles" did not win the Youth category, but there was lots of cheering and support for the young team.
