Jane Farrow is a writer and radio broadcaster. She has a degree in Social Anthropology from University of Toronto and has worked at CBC Radio One since 1998. She has hosted the programs Workology, Home and The Omnivore, and also created the popular 'Wanted Words' segment heard on This Morning; it became the basis of two best-selling books. More recently she co-wrote the ‘Canadian Book of Lists’, published by Knopf in 2005.
Jane has written articles on subjects as diverse as demolition derbies, office gossip and snapshot photography for such magazines as Saturday Night, Utne Reader, and This Magazine. She has taught radio production and an adult education course on Everyday Anthropology at the University of Toronto. She recently began working for two urban think-tanks based in Toronto and New York that are devoted to furthering the writings and ideas of author and activist Jane Jacobs through such projects as 'Jane’s Walk'.
