Nicola Luksic, Producer
Nicola started her CBC career three years ago as an associate producer with The Fifth Estate . She's taken a sabbatical from her home at The Current to produce And Sometimes Y. Her passion for radio documentary has lured her to Kosovo, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Zambia, and the jungles of Chiapas, among other places off the beaten track. Aside from The Current, her work has aired on Global Village and Dispatches.
Tom Howell, Associate Producer/Word Nerd
Tom is an ex-lexicographer who worked on the Canadian Oxford Dictionary for a few years. (Most of his definitions appear between the letters S and Z in the second edition. For instance, the word ‘theremin’ was one of his. So is the note in the entry for ‘threesome’ pointing out that this word often has sexual connotations.) He also worked a bit on TVOntario’s Spelling Bee competition. And he edits books and works as a keyboard player and violinist in several Toronto bands. Dan Misener, Associate Producer / Mix Master
When he's not making radio gold, Dan Misener blogs at danmisener.com , plays in a rock and roll band called The Canaries , organizes a reading series called Grownups Read Things They Wrote as Kids , and teaches audio production at Ryerson University .
