An explosion partially destroyed a boat parked between two homes on Ben Ell Drive in Iqaluit at around 4:30 p.m. Thursday.

It's unknown what caused the explosion, but there are reports of at least three people injured as a result of the blast.

RCMP are investigating the explosion and interviewing passers-by for more information.
