This week on All the Best  the featured concert is with singer/songwriter Ria Mae.  From a CBC 'East Coast Session' Ria Mae tugs at our hearts with her powerful, insightful and reflective writing and singing.  The show will also sample a few cuts from the Barra MacNeils brand new release where they've partnered up with Symphony Nova Scotia.  Join Shauntay Grant this Sunday afternoon at 4 p.m. for All the Best in the Maritimes on CBC Radio One.

IMG_0190.JPGThis week Shauntay Grant features two of this regions' favourite singer/songwriters on All the Best.  Thom Swift dropped by our Studio H to record a mix of original tunes including one inspired by a true Maritime love story.  And we'll also feature Rose Cousins' brand new cd - hot off the press called 'We Have Made A Spark'.

Maritime Musical Families - Part 2

The second installment of our 'Maritime Musical Families' starts off with the Plaskett family ... Joel and his dad Bill.  Then we dip into Shannon Quinn's CD called 'The Irwin Lake Sessions' where Shannon collaborates with her father Tony bringing their take to several traditional tunes.  And to wrap up the show host Shauntay Grant will feature the Smith family from North Preston ... Rev. Wallace Smith Sr, his son Wallace Smith Jr. and the 3rd generation represented by Reeny Smith.  Tune in Sunday afternoon at 4 p.m. for All the Best in the Maritimes.
