A fish farm near Tofino is having to consider culling hundreds of thousands of salmon. This possible depopulation comes after the detection of the ( IHNV) infectious haematopoietic necrosis virus. Gary Marty, fish pathologist for the BC ministry of agriculture, explains.

The long weekend is almost here and that means many car-trunks are being filled-up with propane stoves and sleeping bags. And camping in BC parks is also top of mind down at the legislature today. The government announced an additional 3 million dollars in funding for parks improvements. Terry Lake, minister of the environment, explains more.
