About the Host

Robyn Burns is very proud of her West Coast roots. Growing up in Prince Rupert CBC Radio was always on and so she became a dedicated listener at an early age.  Robyn developed a passion for theatre and performance during her time in Nelson and later in Victoria.  Robyn's roots in B.C. began nearly 100 years ago when her great grandparents left England for a new life on Haida Gwaii.

Robyn received a Bachelor of Journalism from Ryerson University.  She has worked for the CBC in Prince Rupert, Victoria and Ottawa.  She joins the team at All Points West after spending the last 5 years with CBC North in Yellowknife, N.W.T, where she worked as a reporter, newsreader and radio host.

Life and travel in the north have helped shape her into the resourceful and motivated journalist she is today.  Robyn looks forward to delivering stories that inform and inspire listeners on the coast.

She's ready to trade in her parka and kamiks for gortex and gumboots.
