About the Host
Jo-Ann Roberts is the host of All Points West, CBC Radio One's provincial afternoon show serving British Columbia, excluding the Lower Mainland. Jo-Ann, a Maritimer, is a seasoned, award-winning journalist.
Jo-Ann was the first CBC journalist to win the Asia Pacific Scholarship to work in Tokyo, and has been a national finalist for a couple Canadian Association of Journalism Awards, one for her work on the Burnt Church First Nation's fishing dispute and the other for a national special on sacred spaces called Healing the Heart. Her career has included anchoring several election specials for CBC Radio and TV and hosting programs for CBC Radio in Moncton, Charlottetown, Halifax and Winnipeg.
Jo-Ann is married with 4 children. She loves getting to know this province where her husband, Ken Kelly, was born and raised.
