Dressing the window at Chronicles of Crime
On Tuesday November 15th, Jo-Ann did a series of interviews with five B.C. mystery writers in a street front studio in the window at the Chronicles of Crime bookshop in Victoria.
Mystery fans will know Stephan Legault from his Cole Blackwater books, which are environmental mysteries. His new novel, End of the Line is an historical mystery, set during the building of the CPR, the winter before the push to go down the Big Hill at Kicking Horse.
Next we heard from Kay Stewart. She co-wrote her first novel, A Deadly Little List, featuring RCMP Constable Danutia Dranchuk, with her husband, Chris Bullock. Her second novel in this series, Sitting Lady Sutra, is now out in paperback.
Team writers Sandy Duncan and George Szanto have just released the third novel in the Islands Investigations International mystery series. The scenes for the novels alternate between gulf Islands, the latest being Never Hug a Mugger on Quadra island.
Finally, a conversation with Bruce Burrows, a fisherman, who has just released his debut novel, The River Killers.
