Stone Soup Productions: "Waiting for the Parade"
Hudson Village Theatre presents a play that focuses on the plight of Canadian women during the second world war. "Waiting for the Parade" is running at the Hudson Village Theatre until next Sunday.
The story is set between 1939 and 1945, and tells the story of five women from very different backgrounds who are thrown together to help in the war efforts of the Second World War at home in Canada. Their paths collide as the war escalates and each tries to survive in her own way, through tears, laughter and friendship.
This is the debut production for Stone Soup Productions, a theatre troupe for women.
Play director and Stone Soup Productions founding member Donna Byrne as well as "Waiting for the Parade" actress Cristina Cugliandro spoke with All In A Weekend.
