Science workshops for high schools in Nunavik

Local water testing in Whapmagoostui-Kuujuarapik.JPGThe CBC's Marika Wheeler takes us to the northern Quebec villages of Whapmagoostui and Kuujuarapik.
They're side by side on the Great Whale River, where it empties into Hudson's Bay.

Whapmagoostui is Cree.
Kuujuarapik is Inuit.

This past year, high-school students from both communities have been coming together to talk the language of science.

They've been taking part in a series of science workshops given by a non-profit organization called Youth Fusion. Marika Wheeler recently dropped in on some of the workshops, and she joins Sonali Karnick from our Quebec City studio to tell us more about the experience.
