New Year's Eve traditions from around the world
What will you be doing on New Year's Eve?
Maybe you'll be at a party singing Auld Lang Syne at the stroke of midnight. Or you'll stay home and watch the ball drop in Times Square or the "Bye Bye" on Radio-Canada. Whatever it is, you'll probably mark the New Year in a special way.
That seems to be the case around the world too.
Host Elizabeth Robertson called up a few Quebeckers with roots in Germany, Portugal, Venezuela and Haiti to find out how the New Year is rung in elsewhere.
