Marco Polo's epic adventures at Pointe-à-Callière

Marco Polo exhibit.jpegSome parents cringe when their young adult children decide to take-off and backpack around Europe or teach English abroad for a year.

Marco Polo's father Niccolò on the other hand whisked his 17-year-old son away on a long trip. Marco Polo ended up travelling for more than 20 years, through Persia, India and China and many other exotic places.

Marco Polo exhibit 2.jpegYou can now experience some of his epic adventures at  Pointe-à-Callière Museum in Old Montreal.

Elisabeth Monast Moreau is one of the people who put the exhibit together. She tells host Sonali Karnick about Marco Polo's story and how they've made their exhibition on his travels interactive.
