Right to Food

The United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Right to Food is in Montreal this weekend. Olivier de Schutter is conducting a formal country commission in Canada, the first place he will visit as part of his tour of nine countries.

On Sunday in Montreal, he is meeting with organisations that deal with the right to food and experts on food issues. The public is also welcome.

Among the local organizations participating is Food Secure Canada. Diana Bronson is the Executive director of Food Secure Canada, a non-profit organisation committed to eliminating hunger and to keeping food safe, healthy and sustainable.
