Quebec rider in the Tour de France

The Tour de France is now one week into its three-week endurance race through the French countryside. When it's over, the riders will have cycled almost 35-hundred kilometres.

Ten of the original riders of the original 198 have dropped out. But Quebec City's David Veilleux is still there, supporting his team.

Today the riders face some tough climbs in the Pyrenees mountains. And back at home in the Quebec City area, Sonia Veilleux - the older sister of the first Quebec-born rider in the Tour --is keeping tabs on the race.

Elizabeth Robertson spoke with her this morning.
