The life and (many) loves of King Edward VII

King_EdwardVII.jpgHe was the original Dirty Bertie. On Monday, in Quebec City, there's a lecture at the historic Morrin Centre about King Edward VII or, as he was known on the street, Dirty Bertie.
Amateur historian Sheryl Wright Mercer brings to light Edward's life, his pleasures and pastimes and his many loves. She'll also talk about the five days in 1860 that brought Queen Victoria's eldest son to Quebec City. He was just 18 at the time - and the trip to Canada was a sort of royal coming out for him. Queen Victoria didn't really ask him to do anything official after that.

Sonali Karnick spoke with Sherryl Wright Mercer about King Edward VII.
